HONEY AND CINNAMON FACE MASK:
For this mask, you will need a ½ tablespoon of nutmeg, ½ tablespoon of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. To prepare, combine all ingredients together in a bowl, stir properly, apply the mixture on your face and let it sit for 20 minutes before washing it off. Honey is a great emollient that helps to combat dry skin while lemon juice works as a great brightening agent; cinnamon and nutmeg ward off acne caused by bacteria.
AVOCADO AND CARROT FACE MASK:
To prepare this mask you will need a carrot, an avocado, and one orange. Peel the carrot and boil in hot water, include some orange peel to the boiling water and set it aside. Grab another bowl, mash the avocado using a fork and add the boiled mix, whisk properly till you get a creamy texture, apply on your face and wait for 20 minutes before washing it off.
Avocado is great for restoring your skin’s lost moisture while carrots are rich in antioxidants, they combat free radical damage and helps promote overall skin health.
COCONUT OIL AND EGG WHITE FACE MASK:
All you will need to prepare this mask is a ½ tablespoon of lemon juice, ½ tablespoon of coconut oil and egg white. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well, apply all over the face, wait for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Lemon juice fights bacteria as well as brightens skin while coconut oil works as an excellent moisturizer and egg white tighten the skin.
BANANA AND YOGURT MASK:
The ingredients required to prepare this mask are 1 mashed ripe banana, 1 teaspoon of yogurt and 1 teaspoon of orange juice. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix properly, gently apply the mixture to your face, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then proceed to wash it off. Yogurt softens the skin, it even has antimicrobial properties.
RED WINE FACE MASK:
If you have an opened bottle of red wine then all you need in addition to making this mask is an egg. Mix 3 tablespoons of red wine with the egg yolk and egg white. Whisk properly, add mixture all over your face, and leave it to dry on your face before washing it off. This mask is beneficial because red wine contains resveratrol, an antioxidant that helps diminish signs of aging.
RICE AND MILK MASK:
If you have leftover white rice, grab 3 tablespoons, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of milk . in a small bowl, mix honey, milk and cooked rice, apply the mixture to your face, allow it dry before rinsing off with some water. One of the benefits of this mask is that it improves blood flow to the face, it also helps soften the skin and minimizes any sign of inflammation.
TURMERIC AND YOGURT FACE MASK:
To prepare this mask, you need 1 teaspoon of yogurt and ¼ teaspoon of turmeric. Mix the two ingredients in a small bowl until you end up with a paste. Apply the mixture on your face, leave for 30 minutes before rinsing it off. Turmeric is great because constant usage helps reveal brighter skin; it moisturizes the skin and fights bacteria that cause acne.
