FACEBOOK IS NOT SLACKING

Social media giants Facebook, are not here to play. For close to a decade, Facebook has completely changed how ‘Friends’ and made and how they interact around the globe.That evolution is now available to companies with their latest feature.

 Facebook has recently launched an enterprise app (a possible competitor for slack and Microsoft’s yammer) to ease communication in the workplace. 

The app which called workplace works much like the regular facebook with familiar features like the newsfeed, groups, events, messenger and live stream video.   The whole idea behind the app is to enable companies have a better chance at communication on the go. It basically streamlines companies’ intranets and reduces the need to rely on multiple media for internal communication (goodbye multiple emails).

You can have virtual brainstorming sessions, important meetings, group discussions, and disseminate information on the go. The live streaming option also provides the opportunity to watch live presentations.  

This app has been in testing for about eighteen months. Buoyed by positive reviews from over 1,000 companies using the app (including multinational enterprises like Starbucks, Booking.com amongst others) it has now been made available for everybody.

The app is an independent app, which differs from your personal account and provides no synchronization between your personal Facebook account and your corporate workplace account. Your company’s login detail is the code for accessing the app. 

The app is available for android, IOs and iPad devices.
