The Diet & Exercise Plan Adele Used to Loose 100 Pounds!
“How Adele lost weight” is now a Google keyphrase, and with good reason!
Famed British Singer, Adele, has been a hot topic on everyone’s lips lately. On her 32nd birthday, the singer showed off her new svelte self, 100 pounds lighter. For us, we were excited that after her divorce and with everything going on in the world, she was looking happy. Not everyone feels this way.
However, one thing that everyone is curious about is how she lost about 100 pounds. So, we did some digging and found out how Adele lost weight – the diet plan and exercises she used to go from where she was to her new self.
Diet
One thing that Adele and her trainer’s credit is the SirtFood Diet. This diet plan is basically divided into 2 phases. The first involves toning down calories to 1000kcal for 3 days while consuming sirtfood green juices, and one meal rich in sirtfood each day.
What are sirtfoods? These are specific foods that work in activating certain proteins in the body called sirtuins. These sirtuins are believed to have the ability to protect the cells from dying from stress and help regulate inflammation, metabolism and the ageing process. It’s thought that sirtuins influence the body’s ability to burn fat and boost metabolism, resulting in a seven-pound weight loss a week while maintaining muscle. (via BBC Good Food).
These sirtfoods include Green tea, Dark chocolate (that is at least 85 per cent cocoa), Apples, Citrus fruits, Parsley, Turmeric, Kale, Blueberries, Capers and Red wine (Yay).

Adele also cut out processed food and drinks as well as caffeine, cigarettes, some alcohol and excess sugar.
Exercise
Like almost all weight loss journies, exercise played a huge role in Adele’s new look. According to reports by The Sun, the singer swears by Reformer Pilates. This form of exercise involves doing pilates on special equipment and boosts posture, flexibility, balance and, of course, weight loss. According to a source, she also does cross-training with cardio, strength training with her pilates.
Being Happy
With Adele’s image revamp, lots of fans and others have questioned the reason behind her weight loss. Some say its due to her divorce from her husband of 2 years and others claim “fat people are never happy with their appearance”. But according to the singer, the only thing that matters is self-love. In May last year, while on her weight-loss journey, she posted on Instagram saying; “I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself.” “For the first time in a decade, I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself, people we’re only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity,” she continued. “Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough“.
