Travel Mum Bunmi Omoniwa is a Freelance Writer/Editor, Explorer, and adventurous mum on a mission. I AM  A WOMAN. HEAR ME ROAR – by BUNMI OMONIWA

For me, 2019 is the year of

“standing toe to toe (with everything I that I fear), knowing the ultimate goal is to prove I am strong, I am invincible, I am a woman…”

These lines are straight from the 3rd verse of Helen Reddy’s 1971 I am Woman song. It’s one I recommend you acquaint yourself, or better still, arm yourself with. Stand toe to toe with fear, ride on the waves of adventure, and stare it down. I just did!

I have been ticking off my bucket list of adventures for a while now. Having moved to Lusaka, Zambia a little over a year ago, I have added a couple more ticks to that list of daring adventures. Last year Easter I visited the Mosi-oa-Tunya Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia. But this year, I went daredevil-mode, if you will.  #Yolo You Only Live Once. Right? On Women’s day, which interestingly, is a National Holiday here in Zambia, my family and two other families set off to Chaminuka Game Park (Lusaka), for a day trip, where I had only one mission – walk a Cheetah!
