If you’d like to learn how to get more customers to buy from you, then you have to be ready to do what it takes.
The world of marketing has become more competitive. In 2020, when most of the world’s population owns a side business, it can be hard to convince potential customers to buy from you again and again. Especially if they can get it better somewhere else.
So what can you do?
We have put together 5 tips to help you get ahead. No, they’re not that innovative, but they are tried and tested ways to get your customers through the door and keep them there.
Here’s how to get more customers to buy from you.
Lower Your Prices
Yes, this seems like you’re selling yourself short, but look at the long run. If you sell your clothes at a cheaper rate, chances are more people will be willing to buy from you. We know we have switched vendors bust because they were N500 cheaper. Instead of selling at a higher rate at first, take down your prices and show your customer the value you provide. When you have gained their trust and loyalty, then you can increase (within reason) giving them more value as you grow.
Offer Free Delivery
One aspect of shopping that always causes some tension is the subject of shipping. It’s one thing to buy an item for an amount, then added shipping always adds that little jab as you put in your card details. So how about you tap into that opportunity. Try offering free shipping on certain purchases or after a certain number of buys. This will motivate the customer to come back because who doesn’t like free stuff.
Assure them of your Validity
This is the age of buying things on Instagram – and that comes with its risks. When potential customers shop online, they look out for some key things – are your prices stated clearly, do you have a working website, are their testimonials, are the photos rea;-to-life etc. It is your job to make sure you assure them that you’re the real deal and not a scam artist.#
Do your due diligence, answer their questions and make sure they know you’re real and ready to provide services.
There it is – that ‘Free’ word again. It’s probably one of the best words in existence. Whenever you offer your customers something for Free, they’re ready to listen. Another way to get more customers to buy from you is to offer free returns. This connotes that you have such great products that there probably won’t be any reason for them to return them. And if for any reason there is, you’re more than willing to take the hit for it.
Great Customer Service
Once upon a time, we bought a table from a Nigerian brand. After waiting for a few days the table gets delivered wrapped in brown paper. When we took the paper off, it got stuck to the table and left brown paper streaks all over. Imagine our annoyance. However, the delivery man saved the day. He offered more help than he should’ve and completely changed our tarnished thoughts towards the brand.
If you have great customers service, even when you drop the ball, their excellence can speak volumes for you.
