#WomenWeLove WHY WE LOVE TEMI GIWA-TUBOSUN
In Nigeria and across the world, many patients die mostly because of lack of blood. Following her experience during the birth of her son and the unfortunate bomb blast incident that tore the UN building in Abuja down leaving many dead (due to blood shortage), the feelings of helplessness that assailed Temi propelled her into action and with the help of a few close friends, Life Bank was born.
The company’s aim is to improve the blood transfusion system in Nigeria, promoting safe blood transfusion and encouraging the culture of blood donation by harnessing the power of young people with the ultimate goal of saving lives.
Interested donors can register on the website, book an appointment, the app finds the nearest blood bank location and voila.
The alumnus of Minnesota State University was named amongst BBC’s 100 women “to take notice of now (and) in the future” making a difference around the world and LifeBank was featured on CNN’s African startups.
We couldn’t agree with you more Zuck. We are proud of Mrs. Temi and we are excited to see how far LifeBank will touch lives. Bravo!!
