Esther Agbaje becomes 1st Nigerian-American in the Minnesota Legislature!

Congratulations are in order for Nigerian-American Harvard Law graduate, Esther Agbaje. She has officially been announced as the winner of the Minnesota House of Reps ticket. And this also makes her the first Nigerian/American in the Minnesota legislature.
Esther Agbaje contested in the election against District 59B in the Minnesota House of Representatives on the platform of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party which is an affiliate of the US Democratic Party.
Here’s a little on her background;
- 35 years old
- She has a Law degree from Harvard & a Masters from University of Pennsylvania
- Worked in the U.S State Department & a distinguished law firm
- The daughter of a Priest & Librarian (both Nigerian immigrants)
- In the election, she defeated her opponents – Alan Ahilepsky (Republican opponent) and Lisa Neal-Delgado (Green Party).
We are excited for her and look forward to her doing amazng things for the people of Minnesota.
