HOVER TAXIS TO LAUNCH IN DUBAI; DRIVERLESS CARS BY 2038:
Reach for the skies, there is no traffic there, that is how the saying goes right? I’m pretty sure i paraphrased but you get the gist of the matter, or at least that is what the Emirate’s Roads and Transport authority understood from the adage.
The RTA recently announced that in collaboration with Ehang (a Chinese firm) they will be launching a first of it’s kind driverless flying cars by summer.
First test runs of the autonomous aerial vehicle have been carried out. Security checks have been carried out the AAV whose maximum cruising height is 3,000 feet is designed to operate under all climatic conditions.
The sole purpose of this launch is to combat the growing traffic congestion and availability of smooth, quick and innovative mobility.
WHATSAPP AND FACEBOOK WITHDRAWS IT’S SUPPORT FROM SOME MOBILE PHONES OPERATING SYSTEM.
After months of skirting around the issue of WhatsApp and Facebook on Blackberry and a few
other mobile devices, WhatsApp has formally blocked it’s feature on the operating systems of some mobile phones.
This news is coming at a time when Facebook is planning to drop support from Blackberry mobile operating system.
The platforms affected by the WhatsApp blockade includes; Blackberry, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1, 2.2, windows phone 7 and iPhone 3GS.
The talks have been rife since last year, the planned blockade was scheduled to take effect by December, but was moved to June 2017.
WhatsApp announced on it’s blog it’s plans to expand the apps features going forward, which meant that the affected platforms didn’t have the capability to support the upgrade.
