Adenike Ogunlesi has become a well-known name in the African fashion business. As the leading lady behind the baby & kids clothing brand – Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, she has helped build the Nigerian fashion landscape in her own way.

They discuss how she built her multi-million dollar clothing business in Nigeria from the boot of her car. “She tells us about how she was able to build her business in Lagos state Nigeria and some of the challenges she has faced on her entrepreneurial journey.”
We picked up so many inspiring nuggets from her interview;
- “You have to learn to see what is invisible…you have to learn to trust what is the unknown because what you’re trying to create is actually in that space of the unknown.“
- “One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt in life is ‘ use what you have to get what you want. So focus on the things that you have and that value you can draw from it as opposed to the things you don’t have.“
- “What you have. You will find creative ideas on how to use that thing that you have as opposed to constantly looking out the window to see ‘what am I missing?’ “
- “If you’re going to run a business, you have to pay yourself a salary and live within that salary.”
