TECH SPEAK: HOW I WATCHED MY PERSONAL ASSISTANT DROWN IN WATER.
I started the year on a tragic note; my personal assistant drowned in water.
My assistant is not a person mind you, I’m talking about my smart phone. Here is how it happened.
It was after New Year’s Day, I was still deep in the festivity spirit. As usual I had lots to eat that day and had to relieve myself.(I mean what’s the holidays without a little overeating).
Now the ladies is my zone, I’m sorry if this grosses you out but my greatest ideas and some of my finest work has come from that room. So as is the norm, I took my phone in with me to get some work done and that was when the tragedy happened. Just as I was leaving, my phone fell straight into the toilet bowl. Without thinking, my hands followed, the only thing on my mind was rescuing my beloved personal assistant aka smart phone.
After the rescue came the surgery. With the phone dripping (toilet) water, I stripped it phone bare, removing it’s battery and every other accessory that could be destroyed. Then came the problem, HOW DO I SAVE MY SMART PHONE??
After soaking up self pity for about 30 minutes, I tried getting the water out of the phone by hitting and blowing on it. (I later learned that this was a wrong approach as blowing or hitting the already wet phone could send the water further into the phone.
Here is how I went about saving my Personal Assistant;
PS: I hope it works, mine did.
