Pregnancy facts can be a hit or miss. They’re either things you really want to hear like – your hair really starts to grow or your breasts get bigger. And they can be really scary ones like your vagina swelling and uncontrolled peeing. But either way, pregnancy facts are things you need to know.
To let us in on some very vital truths, we have 2nd-time mom and Lifestyle YouTuber, Patricia Bright. This British-based Nigerian is on her 2nd pregnancy and is taking a walk down memory lane. And today we’re walking with her.
Here are a few things we learned from the video;
- Some women develop Melanisma during pregnancy. This is basically the increased development of dark-coloured pigment on the skin and in the hair.
- Other pregnancy facts Patricia shared is that some women get Haemorrhoids in their buttholes, especially towards the end of the pregnancy.
- Constipation is real. Some women have to take stool softeners to successfully use the toilet.
- Sex can become a chore. You and your partner have to come up with more creative and strategic ways to have sex during pregnancy months.
- You can get pelvic girdle pain. While you’re pregnant you release a hormone called Relaxin which causes your ligaments in the pelvis to relax and soften in preparation for childbirth. However, this can cause severe hip and back pain.
There’s more where these came from. Press play for some more pregnancy facts;
