Situation Report COVID-19: 23 Cases Reported in Lagos, FCT & More…22 Negative & 1 Positive!
As the International community battles Coronavirus (COVID-19), it seems like Coronavirus in Nigeria has been under great control.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease (NCDC) there have been 23 suspected cases of the virus in Edo, Lagos, FCT, Ogun and Kano, together with the original cases reported. In a recent update, they confirmed that 22 of the suspected cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed to be Negative with only 1 Positive as of 7th March 2020.
According to the report, no new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria have surfaced and the confirmed case is clinically stable at the treatment facility for the virus at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Yaba, Lagos. In the meantime, field investigations are still ongoing and all contacts are undergoing follow-up and monitoring, especially with those living outside of Lagos and Ogun state.
