  • My Fitness Pal

This is a popular health and fitness app. It helps calculate the amount of calories you consume every day. It also indicates the amount of exercise you need to burn the said calories. It has exercises stored on its database and you can track which exercises you need to burn specific amount of calories.

  • Fooducate

This is a free app that evaluates food and ranks them based on how they are good for you. It doesn’t merely count calories; it is concerned with the nutrients and the ingredients. The emphasis is on eating right, and there is a rich supply of information on the app for each ingredient and the reason it has been graded the way it was.

  • Sworkit

This helps you control your workouts. You can choose the part of your body you would like to focus on and then follow the instructions on the app. You could also exercise your discretion and customize your work outs. It has yoga, cardio and stretching options. You can also choose the time limit for your work out. Here, you can dictate the terms of your fitness.

  • C25k

This is an excellent app for beginners in the fitness journey. It is the ‘Couch to 5k’ app. The only exercise it offers is running/jogging but it helps by providing a schedule of walks, slow jogs and runs. It is a very basic training program and its simplicity makes it not overwhelming.
