Lights. Camera. No Dialogue: At Hotel Called Memory Premiers In Lagos
Tons of movie lovers gathered at WINGS in Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday 19th November 2017 where Temple productions treated our curious and expectant minds to a new African cinema experience.
Produced by veteran actress Ego Boyo and directed by seasoned director Akin Omotosho, A Hotel Called Memory is Nigeria’s first silent movie. A Hotel Called Memory is Nigeria’s first silent movie. It tests your intelligence, leaves you to draw your own conclusions and keeps the conversation going long after the movie is over. It is almost certain that two people will not walk away from the movie with the same experience.
The movie was shot in three African cities: Lagos, Cape Town and Zanzibar. The story follows the life of Lola (Nse Ikpe Etim) a young mother who goes on a journey of self rediscovery after getting divorced from her husband. This movie redefines the way stories are being told and it opens the film industry to a world of possibilities.
The star studded premiere was well attended by Nollywood favorites including Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw, Rita Domnic, Michelle Dede, Ettim Effionhg, Gabriel Okeke, Kemi Lala Akindoju amongst others.
