Sallah: FG Sends Food and Clothes to IDPs | This Day
The federal government has attempted to put smiles on the faces of those affected by Boko Haram terrorist activities in Borno State during the Sallah celebration, as they flooded the state with food and clothes.
The President’s Initiative for the North-east (PINE) sent foodstuff to 63,308 households in over 35 communities of Borno and Bauchi states.
The distribution was kickstarted in Magumeri and Nganzai on Monday and continued in Maiduguri on Tuesday. It was targeted as part of the efforts of PINE to make those affected by the Boko Haram terrorism celebrate Sallah on a high.
It would be recalled that the initiative had in the first phase of it distribution of relief materials in May visited large parts of the troubled North-east region.

UK anti-terror authorities have launched a radio campaign aimed at stopping young British girls and women from travelling to the Middle East to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group.
The campaign comes after the high-profile case of three UK schoolgirls, who were caught on camera in February before they disappeared on their way to join ISIL in Syria.
