Hello from the other side, we made it ladies welcome to the New Year.
There is something about a new year that gets us all excited and pumped up; our head brimming with amazing ideas, our note pad filled with goals, resolutions, bucket lists, to do lists and every other list we can think of.
It’s almost as if something profound happens within us as soon as the clock strikes twelve and we all shout “HAPPY NEW YEAR”. Maybe it’s the loud screams form your pastor or Imam yelling from the altar about how this year is your year, or maybe it’s the overflowing joy that fills your heart as you hug your loved ones smiling and saying happy new year simply grateful for the little things, happy that you are still in the business of life with them.
Whatever it is that makes you feel like a new year makes all things new is okay. To each man his own right. I’m all for positivity, making resolutions and writing down goals but the TRUTH of the matter is things are not going to change because it’s a new year. You will not become a “New You” if you do not make drastic changes to your life. Trust me sistah, things are going to remain exactly the same if you sit on your fanny and do nothing.
So, in 2017, don’t just go about talking about a new you, work at it.Work at being bright and shiny and new. Put in the work, heck put in extra work.
Make your resolutions, write down your plans, set your goals and with each new day that comes, go on and achieve what you have set out to achieve. Be intentional about achieving your goals, open your eyes to possibilities around you, stretch yourself, work, work work work and see all your dreams come true.
It’s a new year, go GET it GIRL…
Happy new year. XOXO.
