2015 is going to be an exciting year for books and movies. With some of our favourite books being turned into movies this year, if you haven’t read these books yet, please do before they are released in the cinemas. If for nothing else, so you will be able to say the book was totally better than the movie. (Aren’t they always?)

Release date – Feb 14

In E L James’s sexy bestseller, a young and hot multimillionaire,e Christian Grey meets Anastasia Steele college student virgin and turns her world upside down when they begin a sexual relationship. Christian is played by Jamie Dornan and Anastasia is played by Dakota Johnson.

2) Insurgent – Veronica Roth

Release date – March 20

In Roth’s follow-up to Divergent, Tris and Four leave the crumbling Dauntless and search for answers to what is going on, in the ruins of Chicago. Shailene Woodley is playing Tris, and Theo James is playing Tobias.

3) The longest ride – Nicholas Sparks

Release date- April 10

The love stories of two couples — an elderly one and a young one — are intertwined in a North Carolina setting. Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson are playing the younger couple.

4) Far from the Maddening Crowd – Thomas Hardy

Release date – May 1

Release date- June 19

The Fault in Our Stars author Green tells the story of a teenage boy name Quentin ‘Q’ and Margo, childhood friends united by a mystery. Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne will play Q and Margo respectively.

6) Americanah – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

This bestseller tells the story of two young Nigerians whose relationship is tested by long distance and immigration issues when she moves to America. Lupita Nyong’o will play the female lead opposite David Oyelowo, while Brad Pitt is producing. The release date of this movie hasn’t been made known yet, however, ensure you have read the story before you enter the cinema.
