4-year-old Girl Kidnapped Inside School in Nasarawa | THIS DAY

The Police in Nasarawa  confirmed on Wednesday the abduction of a four-year –old girl at her school in Masaka, Nasarawa State.

Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, Ismail Umar-Norman, an assistant Superintendent of Police, made the disclosure in a statement made available to journalists in Lafia.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa state and former commissioner for Agriculture, and Environment, Chief Lionel Jonathan –Omo, has appealed to the incoming president elect, Muhammad Buhari to exercise caution in probing the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to Chief Jonathan -Omo, attempts to prosecute Jonathan by the incoming administration might cause violent uprising in the Niger Delta and should be avoided completely.

Fifa congress opens as sponsor concerns grow over arrests | BBC

Football’s governing body Fifa is due to open its annual congress despite warnings from sponsors that they may review ties over the arrest of senior officials on corruption charges.

Visa says it will reassess its sponsorship unless Fifa makes changes. Coca-Cola and Adidas voiced concern.

The European football body Uefa will decide whether to boycott Friday’s vote for the next Fifa president.

Househelp in court for stealing N15m jewellery from employer | VANGUARD

The police, Wednesday, brought a 28 years old housekeeper, Hope Hazhi, before a Tinubu Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for stealing her employer’s jewellery worth N15 million. The defendant, who resides at Akpako House, Ipare area of Lekki, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing levelled against her by the police.

The prosecutor, ASP Chidi Okoye, told the court that the defendant’s accom-plices were still at large.
