Edward Enninful makes history as the First Black Editor in Chief of British Vogue
It is official! Edward Enninful has been confirmed as the new editor of British Vogue. succeeding Alexandra Shulman after her 25-year tenure at the helm of the title. Enninful becomes he first black person in the history of British Vogue to hold this titl.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Conde Nast, Jonathan Newhouse, made the announcement this morning, calling Enninful “an influential figure in the communities of fashion, Hollywood and music which shape the cultural zeitgeist”, adding that “by virtue of his talent and experience, Edward is supremely prepared to assume the responsibility of British Vogue.”
Enninful arrives at the title from his position as fashion and creative director at W Magazine, where he has been since 2011. He will start his new role on August 1.

Caitlyn Jenner has undertaken Gender Reassignment Surgery
The 67-year-old former Olympian has not shied away from any aspect of her personal life as she prepares to release her autobiography, The Secrets of my Life (reportedly written with help from celebrated author Buzz Bissinger).
Within the chapters of her tell all, Caitlyn Jenner explains she underwent surgery in January this year – two years after coming out as transgender. And she cites the fact she is constantly bombarded by fans asking whether or not she still has the genitalia she was born with and hopes sharing her news will finally silence the speculation.
“The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated,” Caitlyn states in her memoirs, according to Radar Online. “I just want to have all the right parts. I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time,” she added.
Clearly hoping to put an end to the discussion, the reality star added: “You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.

Federal Road Safety Commission Recalls Sector Commander and Officers Who Female Officers’ Hair
The Federal Road Safety Commission’s Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, has ordered the recall of the Rivers State Sector Commander and other officers who cut off some female officers in the Rivers State Sector Command, Portharcourt (the female officers hair length was said to be longer than the official specification).
Some photos taken at the scene, which started trending late Monday evening, showed a man identified as the sector commander of the Rivers State Command of the FRSC, Andrew A. Kumapayi, using a pair of scissors to cut up the hair of some female officials. The incident reportedly happened during the early morning parade when Kumapayi went round to inspect his officers.
In the latest interview granted Punch online early morning on Tuesday, by Head of Media Relations and Strategy of the Corps, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, said that the recall of the Commander and officers became necessary in order to properly investigate the matter.

Spendthrift President?
Donald Trump’s travel to his private club in Florida has cost over an estimated $20 million in his first 80 days as president. To date, Trump has spent six weekends — and a total of 21 days — at Mar-A-Lago, his private Palm Beach club. The total estimated costs for those trips are around $21.6 million.
If Donald Trump continues this way, it means that the president’s travel expenses in his first year may end up exceeding Obama’s travel expenses in eight years (Obama spent under $97 million on travel in eight years which included personal trips, the Obama annual vacation, and work trips).
