Friday Buzz: Mercy Aigbe Accuses Her Husband Of Domestic Violence

Mercy Aigbe has finally spoken up about the domestic violence allegations made against her husband, Lanre Gentry, in their 4 year marriage. Mercy Aigbe says that this is not promotion for a movie and that she does not have mental issues as he has claimed, and that he’d been beating her all along. Her marriage had got people talking since pictures were circulated of her brutally injured face. Today, Mercy went on her Instagram and called out her estranged husband. She revealed that he had threatened to destroy her image if she ever left him, and is now filing a law suit against him.

“Dear Lanre Gentry, it breaks my heart that I have to do this but as it is you have left me with no choice. I had sleepless night because I just couldn’t comprehend why someone I loved, someone with whom I have a child with will be hell bent on destroying me, I just cannot comprehend it. I read with tears in my eyes all the lies you fabricated against me. Lies you feel will justify your inhumane act. Lies you feel will gain you public sympathy. Lies calculated to bring my person to public opprobrium. You claim that (1) I am Mentally Unstable (2) That you have caught me with different men (3) That I do not take care of my parents (4) That a man rented an apartment for me. Lies, all lies. Dear hubby, I challenge you to back on your claims with proof! Lanre you forget quickly!…., you forget how I have labored and stood by you all these years, even though all what I was getting from you was constant beating, harrassment, threats to my life and threat to destroying my image if I dare leave you. You must prove all your allegations otherwise God knows I am going to add another lawsuit to the one on ground! Although my team has been pleading with me to stay silent all these while, but I have come to realize that you want to ride on my keeping mum. Say no to domestic violence. Real men don’t hit. My life is not in your hands!”

BEYONCE’S LIPS

Beyonce’s lips were and are still trending after a rumour started that she’s using lip fillers. The pregnant Queen Bee has this thing on Instagram where she posts updates on her pregnancy and this recent one caused a stir because her lips have become fuller. MediaTakeOut (MTO), was the site that started the rumour; it’s almost like they don’t know about the changes that pregnancies can cause in women. Beyonce’s rep, Yvette Noel-Schure, is clearly annoyed at MTO and she has made a statement to Gossip Cop revealing her annoyance.

“MTO staffers, what do you know about the effects of pregnancy on a woman’s entire body? Please tell me. Did you know that in addition to weight gain there is often a dramatic change in the blood flow in the system and increased fluid causing swelling? Do you know that often women’s gums get swollen? Do you know that it sometimes affects our speech, our ability to chew intently and a host of other things? But the sacrifice to our faces, our feet and our entire bodies is something we welcome because we bring beautiful humans into the world who will one day combat your hate and negativity. I stood silent during Beyonce’s first pregnancy when you thought it was okay to bully her like the cowards you are, when you accused her of never being pregnant, but I simply cannot this time. You need to find something else to do with your time and maybe stop by a store that has happiness on sale because you need to buy some.”
