UFUOMA MCDERMOTT& UCHE JUMBO CELEBRATE WITH OMONI OBOLI IN MAKOKO
Omoni Oboli may now be a box office queen but she has not forgotten her days of humble beginnings when she could barely afford to eat decent meals with her mother and sister.
In a symbolic gesture, she chose to celebrate her 40th birthday with kids in Makokofollowing the launch of sister Lizzy’s Kitchen. Named after her late mother, Sister Lizzy’s Kitchen is an initiative of the Omoni Oboli Foundation with the mission of feeding 500 children weekly.
Omoni Oboli’s foundation is an initiative to help the less privileged, children abandoned on the street and also pregnant women who can’t take care of themselves. It was launched in 2012 and has partnered with a host of NGOs and brands to bring succor to the Nigerian who has limited access to the basic necessities of life
She was joined by her bosom friends, UcheJombo&Ufuoma McDermott as all three ladies turned caterers and servers handing out meals to the children.
As part of her 40th birthday celebrations, she is set to launch her memoir ‘Stars Are Ageless’ which offers first-hand accounts of Omoni’s defining moments. From the death of her mother to the Okafor’s Law debacle, Omoni paints a picture using nothing but her own experiences as the medium.
Stars Are Ageless goes on sale nationwide soon. Watch this space!
