Mariah Carey is definitely smiling to the bank after selling her 35-carat diamond ring for $2.78 million!

A year and a half after Mariah Carey and her billionaire boyfriend James Packer ended their engagement, the music star has sold the 35-carat diamond engagement ring for a whopping $2.78 million.

The 49-year-old pop star and mother of seven-year-old twins, Mariah Carey split with the Australian billionaire in October 2016 just a few months after he popped the question but she’s now decided to cut all ties with him by “quietly” flogging the expensive jewel he bought her to a Los Angeles jeweler for $2.78 million.

The singer’s publicist told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Sixcolumn: “Ms. Carey has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity. That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend.”
