JURY FINDS BILL COSBY GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
Bill Cosby has been found guilty by a jury of three counts of aggravated indecent assault on Thursday, for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004.
According to New York Times, even though more than 50 women came forward with sexual assault claims against Cosby, the alleged assault of Constand had been the only one contested in court partly due to the short statute of limitations on sexual assault spread across various states in America.
The 80-year-old comedian faces up to 10 years in prison on each count, but Bill Cosby is likely to serve them concurrently. A sentencing hearing with Judge Steven O’Neill has not yet been scheduled, and Cosby remains out on bail.
