Actor & Comedian Robin Williams Dead At 63
Actor & Comedian Robin Williams has died.
He was found dead at his home in Tiburon, California yesterday morning (August 11), according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division.
The rep confirmed the new saying,
“Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”
He was 63.
Williams had been open with his past battles with alcohol & drug abuse. Just this July he had checked into rehab as part of what his rep called his “continued commitment” to staying sober.
According to police, a 911 call was received at 11:55 a.m. to report that a male adult had been found unconscious and not breathing. The Sheriff’s Office and Tiburon Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire Protection District were dispatched to the scene and arrived at noon.
Williams was pronounced dead shortly after at 12:02 p.m.
An investigation is now underway, but the Coroner suspects suicide due to asphyxia. Williams was last seen alive at the house last night at 10 p.m. by his wife.
In 1998 Robin Williams won his only Oscar for his dramatic role in Good Will Hunting, some of his other memorable movies was Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam & 45 other movies.
May he rest in peace 🙁
