In Tayo’s latest vlog, he takes us into the Yankari Game Reserve/Resort for an up-close and personal look at what you can expect from a trip there. From how much it takes to get there and back, accommodation, what to do etc, Tayo is letting us in on it all.

How to get there
– According to Tayo, getting to the reserve by road is a little complicated. If you’re coming in from Northern areas like Abuja, getting there takes about 5-6 hours. It takes about 2 hours from within Bauchi.
– Hired vehicles from Abuja costs about N10,000 while public transport will cost between N2000 – N3000.
What to do
– The Yankari Game Reserve/Resort is home to loads of wildlife including West African Lions, African Buffalos, Deer, West African Bush Elephant etc. During the dry season, you get to watch the wildlife.
– They have 5 water springs at Yankari – 4 hot & 1 cold. However, they only have 1 fully developed spring – the Wiki Warm Spring that is open to swimming 24 hours.
– They only have 12 hours of electricity so it is advisable to go with tons of company.
