HOW TO MAKE YAMARITA AND SAUCE

It is often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day however with the busy lives we live, we often have boring breakfast such as pancakes, bread, eggs, sausages etc and forget about Yamarita and sauce. It’s basically a complete balanced diet filled with every component you are likely to use when preparing your regular breakfast. Check out the recipe below:
Ingredients
- Yam
- 3 eggs
- Milk
- Sugar
- A half cup of flour
- Salt
- Seasoning cube
- Ata Rodo
- Onions
- Thyme
- Garlic
- 1tbs cayenne pepper
- 1tbs dried pepper
Method
- Cut the yam in preferably rectangular shapes (note that it shouldn’t be slim cuts), wash and boil with salt, sugar and water for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, make a batter using eggs, milk, flour and sugar and set aside
- Check on your yam by putting a fork through it. If it goes through then it soft enough, remove from fire and drain the water
- Heat up some oil in a frying pan [note that you are deep frying so you might want to add enough oil].
- When the oil gets hot enough, take the yam one at a time and soak it in the batter and make sure it soaks in. Afterwards, put it inside the hot oil and fry
- Repeat this process to all piece of yam and.
Peppered sauce
- Blend pepper and onions( you should note that its better if you do not blend smoothly)
- Heat up a little oil and fry chopped onions and garlic until they are golden brown. Next, then add your blended pepper
- Allow to cook for 10 minutes then add seasons to your desired taste. Allow to cook for another 10 minutes. Then it’s ready!
