We can’t deny 2021 has a certain vibe of expectancy. It’s almost like it’s willing to undo all the gloom and dread 2020 served us. And we can definitely accrue some of those good vibes to this beautiful editorial.
According to Tosin Akinyemiju, part of the team who put the shoot together – “2020 represented gloom, uncertainty & arguably sadness for a lot of people. This editorial was born out of an innate need to remind us of the good times. The laughter, the intimacy, the peace, the child-like joy and playfulness. 2021 represents a fresh start, to those who choose to embrace it. An opportunity to align with these happy values once again. A wake-up call that serves as a reminder for what life used to be, before this monster illness hit, and hopefully, a glimmer of hope that inadvertently says it really does get better, with time. I truly hope 2021 brings that breath of fresh air we all really, truly crave.”
