Pearlena Igbokwe being announced as the new Chairman of Universal Studio Group is the Monday Motivation you need, no?

This Nigerian-born media executive was recently announced into her new role by NBCUniversal. Pearlena will be taking over from now Vice Chairman, Bonnie Hammer. According to a statement by Universal Studio Group, she will lead the company’s growing global television studio businesses and report directly to Jeff Shell, CEO, NBCUniversal.

And this makes Peralena the first woman of African descent to head a mainstream American television studio.
