THE POSITIVE PILL
Many people get bouts of melancholy at the start of a work week. The work blues are characterized by a set of overwhelming feelings of anxiety, depression, stress and negative emotions. With the decadence in the world today, it is extremely hard to find a reason to be positive. There are tons of sad events going in the world, children lynched for stealing, soldiers dying at the warfront, airplanes falling out of the sky, bombs detonated at the drop of a hat, scanning the news daily is enough to drown you in a wave of despair.
All of these coupled with the stress from work can not only sabotage your day and your entire week, having negative thoughts also has the power to affect your productivity at work, which can have an effect on your energy, happiness, how you feel and general success.
All of this can be fixed with a simple pill of positivity which costs nothing.Positive thinking is all you need on your journey to a successful life. Start the week with an attitude of gratitude, not with reminders of how many terrible news we are assailed with on the daily. Look for the good in each day, no matter how small, there is always something to be thankful for. Recognize and appreciate it no matter how little. Take time out to be grateful.
Wear your favorite outfit, rock your red lipstick, listen to your favorite songs and pump yourself with enthusiasm on your way to work. Being confident is the first step to conquering the blues. Remember to hit the blues with whatever makes you feel good.
Feeling good begins on the inside, and also transcends to the outside. When you look good, you feel good. Feeling good on a Monday is a step in the right direction to battling the Monday blues.
Like negative thoughts, positive thoughts are contagious. Be a ray of sunshine, the beacon of light that makes others have a better day.
