How Jonathan paid N400m into Metuh’s corporate account, by witness – The Guardian
A defence witness in the ongoing trial of the National Publicity Secretary, People’s Democratic Party (
PDP ), Chief Olisa Metuh, yesterday narrated how former President Goodluck Jonathan paid N400
million into Metuh’s account.
The witness, a columnist with The New Telegraph Newspaper, Mr. Ike Abonyi, told a Federal High Court
in Abuja that the former president had asked for Metuh’s account details to enable him to transfer
money for the image laundering of the party and himself.
Budget: Heads may roll in govt parastatals, agencies – Punch
The Presidency has begun an investigation to determine the level of complicity of heads of some
government’s parastatals and agencies in the “mutilated” 2016 budget sent to President Muhammadu
Buhari by the National Assembly, The PUNCH has learnt.
Buhari has refused to sign the document, claiming that the federal lawmakers had doctored the fiscal
bill.

Dilma Rousseff.
After a full day of debating, the majority of the 65-member special committee voted in favor of the
impeachment: 38 lawmakers voted yes, while 27 voted no.
Ukraine uncertainty as PM Yatsenyuk prepares to resign – BBC
Ukraine’s parliament is to try to vote in a replacement for Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk amid a
growing sense of political crisis.
Mr Yatsenyuk announced on Sunday he would resign. His government has been accused of inaction and
corruption.
