KATE SPADE’S FATHER DIES ONE DAY TO HER FUNERAL
Kate Spade‘s family is mourning another tragic loss as the late designer’s father, Earl F. Brosnahan, Jr., died the night before her funeral.
Kate Spade died on the 5th of June, 2018 in an apparent suicide, she was aged 55. Sadly, hours before mourners gathered at a funeral which was slated for Thursday, June 21, her family was hit with another heart-wrenching tragedy.
The family says her father died on the eve of her funeral. The family released a statement Thursday saying Earl Brosnahan, Jr. died Wednesday night at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. The family says he was 89 and had been in failing health.
E! News confirmed that Spade’s funeral was ongoing on Thursday afternoon. According to The Kansas City Star, mourners had gathered inside Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Redemptorist Church in Kansas City to pay their respects to Spade.
