IWD: How BCG is Building a World Free of Gender Bias!

One of the reasons I get excited about coming to work daily is the inspiration I draw from the diverse group of people that I get to work with. Incredibly, over 70% of them are women. They are vibrant, multi-faceted, complex, unique, and an absolute force. Supported by a team of equally industrious men, we have built a community of warmth and trust that is truly an amazing experience. The BCG community is indeed remarkable. But we know there is still so much to be done to make the world a more harmonious space for women.

This year’s International Women’s Day was themed #BreakTheBias. It was a call for deep reflection on the current experiences of women and a platform to speak against broader gender stereotypes that limit the advancement of women. It was also an opportunity to commemorate and celebrate women’s drive, tenacity, and achievements, despite the many limitations that exist today.

My colleagues and I celebrated this year’s International Women’s Day by pledging to advance
gender parity and to #BreakTheBias in our communities with even more intentionality in our daily
lives. I feel reassured by the incredibly driven, noble, and kind people I work with, who can achieve anything they put their minds to. See below for a sneak peek of their pledges.
