Ukonwa Ojo is MAC Cosmetic’s New Global Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President!
When Ukonwa Ojo left her home in Nigeria for the United States, she probably didn’t know she would work for MAC Cosmetics one day, let alone run the show. But today, she has been announced as the new Global Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President!
After 3 years as the Chief Marketing Officer at Coty Consumer Beauty, she has a new role at MAC’s top ranks. She had previously occupied roles with other high-end beauty brands like Clairol, Rimmel, Nautica and Katy Perry Parfums.
Ukonwa Ojo announced the amazing news via her Instagram account where she expressed her sheer excitement.
She wrote – “When I was in business school (circa 2003), I wanted to switch from a 6-year career in Finance to Marketing/Brand Management. A very common question many companies asked in brand management interviews was… Interviewers: Can you give me an example of a brand you think is marketed well?
Me: M.A.C Cosmetics”
