Thank goodness there is a cure. Shampoos use a combination of special ingredients to control dandruff. Some of those ingredients are:

ZINC PRYITHIONE -slows down the production of yeast

SELENIUM SULPHIDE- reduces the production of natural oils your scalp gland produces

COAL TAR- has a natural anti-fungal agent. If hair is dyed or treated remember that long term coal tar usage  can stain the hair.

Ideally, select a shampoo that has one of the above ingredients and wash your hair with it every day until your dandruff is under control. When that happens, use the shampoo less frequently.

Make sure to leave the shampoo on your scalp for at least 5 minutes before you rinse off. If you still have dandruff after treating for several weeks, you should consider seeing a dermatologist.
