Osinbajo Seeks Road Transport Workers’ Help in the Fight against Boko Haram | This Day
The Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has called on the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to be careful about carrying goods they could not identify, and to report suspicious moves to the authorities.
A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicty, Mr. Laolu Akande, said Osinbajo made the statement while receiving the leadership of the NURTW on a courtesy visit to his office.
He expressed concern over the activities of Boko Haram and appealed to Nigerians to support the federal government in the fight against the terrorits.

A yet to be ascertained number of pipeline vandals were roasted in the wee hours of yesterday, following a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, pipeline explosion at Arepo, Ogun State.
Although an unconfirmed report put the death toll at 100, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, could not state whether any casualty was recorded, as it claimed it could not access the terrain due to the magnitude of the fire.

A bag carrying NZ$1m (£425,000) is missing after it fell while being moved at Hong Kong International Airport.
The bag was one of 13, holding a total NZ$10m, being sent to the Bank of China in Hong Kong from New Zealand, Chinese media said.
Three bags reportedly fell off after being unloaded from a Cathay Pacific flight on Friday. Airport staff who went to retrieve them found only two.

Police in India say they have held 16 people in connection with the killing of a woman accused of practising witchcraft.
Purni Orang, 63, was stripped naked and beheaded by villagers in Assam state, after she was blamed for illness in a tribal settlement in Sonitpur district. Among those arrested were nine women.
Police in Assam say nearly 90 people, mostly women, have been beheaded, burnt alive or stabbed to death after such accusations over the last six years.
