TW AUGUST/SEPTEMBER EDITION PRESS RELEASE

Women Economic Forum (WEF) in April 2019 held it’s 25th annual summit and the TW Magazine theme for the month, ‘Women United’, couldn’t have been more on-the-money than what was experienced at the event in New Dehli, India.

WEF boasts a network of over 100,000 inspiring women and 800 chapters worldwide of which the Nigerian chapter, chaired by the eloquent Ebun Fedulu, is now a proud member following the inauguration in April.

In this issue, TW speaks to a host of this inspiring bunch of female entrepreneurs who showcase the power of association and how it can break boundaries given the right circumstances.

Innovation and initiative follow the lines of this months’ issue and TW has all to tell following Xirea Apparel’ recent game-changing, state-of-the-art, garment manufacturing facility launch in Port-Harcourt.

Our fashion pages this month project culture and elegance with Delabique, the label that “…understands women and their bodies” featuring founder, Ms. Adeola Kamson.

Glowing skin, healthy eats, and an up-close and personal with the top tier contestants of maiden ‘Hymn Culture’ reality show, Hymnodia, also feature amongst the leaves.

Being Ebun

Ebunoluwa (translated from Yoruba means God’s Gift) also makes a gift of herself through her lifelong commitment to and passion for women’s advancement. This comes from her personal belief that “the purpose of us being here on this earth as humans, is to move the needle forward. Our presence here must make the world better, must make humanity better!”

She expands her knowledge by soaking in different experiences from the world over. “The human tapestry is unending; it is as vast as humanity. So everywhere I go in the world, I pick up something new to enrich myself with,” says Ebun, who seems to have taken after her late father, whom she says was a true adventurer.

Having observed that the world is operating at 50{54d2fcdcd494adb6982253be6fe8d5492e5f586157f419110131714f9092ec60} of its potential, “women are about 50{54d2fcdcd494adb6982253be6fe8d5492e5f586157f419110131714f9092ec60} of the population, and the more you look at it, you see that – whether it is by accident or design – this population has been silenced,” Ebun has over the years, done everything in her power to even up the odds. From her time at Farafina, where she discovered Chimamanda Adichie and…
