According to Nat Geo ‘a Hidden Figures television works is in development’

Hidden figures was itself an adaptation of Margot Lee Shetterly’s book.Sometimes, adaptations and spin-offs of movies can get a little boring but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for this one.

The film tells the untold true story of three brilliant African American mathematicians who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the Space Race.

The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe as Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, respectively, who performed work that was crucial to American success in the space race and most impactfully, in the successful 1969 Apollo moon landing.

The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big. Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell & Kimberly Quinn also star.

The movie was a huge hit with audiences, raking in a lot of money and bagging no less than three Oscar nominations(Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Spencer), and two Golden Globes (Best Supporting Actress for Spencer and Best Original Score). The film also the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
