Invitation to Open Day | Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF)
Dr Kemi Da-Silva Ibru recently established the foundation -Women At Risk International Foundation (WARIF) in response to the rising incidence of rape, sexual abuse and trafficking of young girls and women in Nigeria.
To address these needs, WARIF’s first initiative is to provide a fully functional sexual assault rehabilitation centre -WARIF Centre – opening on the 1st of December 2016 in Yaba.
The Centre’s staff will be trained by Ms. Indira Henard; the Executive Director of the DC Rape Crisis Centre in Washington DC. Ms . Henard is an experienced social worker with over 20 years experience in this health space both in the US and internationally.
WARIF Centre will provide these services at NO COST to all those who seek care and will rely solely on donor funding by organizations, corporate bodies and private individuals.
An Open Day at the WARIF Centre will be held on Sunday November 27, 2016 at 12pm and we would consider our selves very fortunate if you can attend.
