Nudes At The 2015 Oscar Awards
While the world is still buzzing about the recent Oscars and how a lot celebrities “brought it” on the red carpet, I won’t waste any time being such a cliché by writing about my best and worst looks at this glamorous event. I’ve decided ditch the norm and share with you the one thing that really caught my attention while I looked through pictures from the 2015 Oscars Red Carpet. At this point, you are probably wondering what it is that left an imprint on me; well guess no further, it was the NUDES!
Yeah the Nudes. I loved how the colour sprung up on the red carpet in more ways than one, how designers got creative with it by incorporating sheer fabric, appliques, cuts and silhouettes. Every piece was unique in its own way- yes even Keira Knightley’s “whatever that was”. The most intriguing thing about it for me was the different shades. Yeah I know there are 50 Shades of Grey (pun intended) but who knew there are diverse shades of the colour nude?
The ultimate slay queen however was Jennifer Lopez who looked so exquisite in her Ellie Saab gown. That dress was everything. In general, I love that all the shades, when worn by the stars perfectly compliment their skin tones. Which is the most important thing if you are considering wearing nude as an option.
