When women come together, amazing things happen. When women stand together, they are bold and change happens. I’m inspired by the people I surround myself with, music and art

3. Share what you love most about being a Today’s woman in the 21st century?

What I love most about being a 21st century woman, is the fact that I have a voice and I can positively impact the lives of thousands and millions of people through the proper use of Technology.

4. What were you doing before setting up Her Network?

I was and I still am a PR Consultant.

5. Her Network has grown considerably on Instagram in the last couple of months. Tell us about the growth and the vision of this platform?

My desire to see more women support and encourage one another compelled me to create a platform as well as build a community of women across the country and globally. The aim is to connect, inspire and encourage women to collaborate more, network and help one another grow in business and life in general.

6. Who are the women who inspire you and have had the most profound influence on you as a Today’s Woman? And why?

The woman who has had the most profound influence on me would be my mother who is my rock. She is the definition of strength and as a young lady growing up with such a force as my guide, I’m so blessed to have come into this world through HER. Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing women especially Mo Abudu and Deola Art-Alade. These women are not only strong but they are also compassionate, encouraging and supportive. They constantly challenged me to push my boundaries and this helped shape my career values and virtues.

7. How does your work impact the lives of the average Nigerian woman?

My work as concerns Her Network impacts the lives of the average Nigerian Woman by compelling her to be the best she can be, connect, reach out more and collaborate or co-create. The platform inspires, motivates, encourages and puts together proper networking events so whether the average Nigerian woman is following us on social media or attending our events, her life is being positively impacted.

8. In your opinion, what are the challenges women contend with and how are you making your little contribution with Her Network?

The challenges we women contend with are a lot especially gender parity/equality. But like I always say… any change we want to see starts with us and until we come together as women with one voice, most of the things we are fighting for will not work because of the constant (unhealthy) competition amongst us. So we are doing the best we can to bridge this gap between women one event/inspiration/workshop/city at a time.

9. Where do you see this vision in 5 years from now and what would you want to be remembered for in the long run?

I see a network that has grown with different chapters established globally and a platform that gives women a voice, face and the opportunity to connect with and share their light with other women globally. I want to be remembered for the positive contributions I have made and the path I have paved for generations to come.

10. What words of wisdom would you share with the younger women you are trying to reach and inspire?

Don’t be afraid to let your light shine. Worry less, maximize every moment and make your happiness priority.
