The Super Falcons & FC Barcelona attacker won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award for the 4th time at the celebrated event which held at the Red Sea Resort in Hurghada, Egypt. Though Asisat couldn’t be live at the event, she shared her gratitude & excitement via Twitter saying;

“Grateful to be African Women’s Player of the year for the fourth time. (I) thank God, my family, friends, and fans for the support. Big shout out to my club, my management, teammates at both national team and club level and of course thanks to @CAF_Online for the opportunity.”

She added again earlier today saying;

Four times baby!!! Sometimes you forget to smell the roses along the way in life. I’m always the type thinking about my next move and never really stop and celebrate the things in between. This is such an amazing accomplishment and I’m happy.

But there’s still work to do.

Asisat Oshoala is now tied with fellow Nigerian, Perpetua Nwokocha’s record. Asisat claimed this same award in 2014, 2016 and 2017.

The night also has other African female winners like South Africa’s women’s national team coach, Diseree Ellis who won the Women’s African Coach of the Year.

We are very proud of Asisat and can’t wait to see her continue to win!
