Mega Launch of Xirea Apparel Manufacturing Facility & Buphalo Brand

The opening of Xirea Apparel Manufacturing facility showcased how an organization can effectively be great and achieve set goals while encouraging local content development, creating employment, impacting lives and benchmarking operations to meet global standards.

Guests were pleased to see the first-ever Work Wear Runaway by the Buphalo Brand. The facility has the capacity to produce, 3000 units per day with plans to ramp up production in the near future.

Addressing Guests at the event, Managing Director, Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited, Mr. Walter Peviani encouraged all Companies to patronize the certified Factory stating that they will be achieving numerous goals by doing so – some benefits identified are time/ cost savings from local manufacturing, creating employment for Nigerians and also improving the industrialization goals.

CEO Xirea Apparels, Mr. Obinna Eneh gave a wonderful, resounding speech, detailing his journey, sharing his appreciation for help along the way, and how the “The Spirit of Nigeria” which encompasses embracing your fears and taking a chance has been a pillar of success for Xirea Apparels.

Workers also shared their testimonies during the event about how XIREA Apparel gave them a chance where no one else would and helped change their lives for the better.

 

As the customary cutting of the ribbon went underway, Executive Secretary NDCMB, Engr. Simbi Wabote’s representative lauded the efforts of the Xirea brand and it’s MD on the efforts taken by the company, adding value to local content.

With Technology at the heart of its operations, it currently employs over 400 Nigerians (95{54d2fcdcd494adb6982253be6fe8d5492e5f586157f419110131714f9092ec60} Female) with the vision of training and employing 50,000 by 2030. XIREA Apparel™ has since 2017 trained over 300 women in apparel design and production.

The facility has an R&D Team and expert management staff with more than 140 years of combined experience in garment manufacturing, supply chain optimization and sourcing from 3 continents.

The factory has a fully automated design and pattern making process with real-time monitoring of orders placed and technology solutions to help clients develop knowledge base around their order through data acquisition.
