Gabourey Sidibe Shuts Down Online Critics Of Her Weight & Golden Globes Outfit
Actress Gabourey Sidibe’s star has continued to rise since she burst on the scene in Lee Daniels’ controversial 2009 film Precious.
After playing the downtrodden teen, Sidibe has gone on to captivate audiences on the big and small screen in projects like The Big C, Yelling to the Sky, and most recently, American Horror Story: Coven.
While Gabby’s career continues to fly high, her critics, however, continue to take digs at the actress, particularly about her weight.
For Sunday night’s Golden Globes, Sidibe walked the red carpet in a shimmery, floor-length, custom dress from Daniel Musto and Barefoot Tess heels. While the actress was apparently having the time of her life, Twitter lit up with nasty comments about Sidibe’s dress, and of course, her body.
The feisty actress wasn’t fazed, though. On Tuesday morning Sidibe tweeted an awesome shut down to people who had nasty things to say about her.
