Air Force Gears Up To Step Up Air Strikes On Boko Haram Insurgents

The military seems ready to keep their word of going all out to address the attacks of the insurgents in the Northern part of Nigeria. This has been evident in the acquisition of new equipments.

At the testing of some of these equipments in Lagos on Sunday the 15th of February, 2015, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Adesola Amosun, assured Nigerians that the insurgents will be weakened considerable and peace restored to that part of the country. As reported by Channelstv.com in an interview with the Chief of Air Staff, the Air Force had spent the last two days in the air, notifying citizens in that area that there is an ongoing operation to recalibrate their weapon system and fine tune their tactics. He further noted that their are challenges that needs to be addressed in the maritime sector as well and the Air Force is set to contribute to the Operation Polo Shield in the Niger Delta.
