New 2020 Emojis to Feature More Gender Inclusive Designs

Great news for texters and emoji lovers! Unicode Consortium, the company in charge of releasing new emojis, is set to release new emojis for 2020. This company has included emojis that speak to and are more representative of today’s world.

The transgender flag, a man feeding a baby, a gender-neutral person feeding a baby, a man wearing a wedding gown, a woman in a suit etc these are just some of the new emojis set to be hitting your phones this fall. Unicode Consortium is set to release the new emojis early this year, but it will be up to smartphone companies to include them in your phones Operating System.

A lot of these emojis are welcomed developments as more segments of the world are being represented, therefore enhancing the way we communicate through emojis.
