Do you feel dread at night when you think about work the next day? Do you constantly need to drag yourself to work? If so, your life may need a reassessment.

Most people need motivation when they are about to do something they hate to do. This hatred could stem from fear, a lack of interest or occasional laziness etc.

Is this your life? Then this is a call to examine who you are, who you want to become, if what you’re doing is taking you where you want to go. It’s a call to remember why you’re doing what you’re doing and if it still serves your goal.

Sometimes all you need might be a reminder that strengthens your connection to your goals, other times it might be you need to make some changes at your job; maybe a salary increase, a department transfer, better working conditions or a job change on the whole.

#MondayMotivation is a great pick-me-up, it re-energizes us, however just like plasters can’t replace surgery #MondayMotivation can’t replace intrinsic motivation. If you hate your job or working conditions, you won’t make much progress.

We’re human, we get tired, we get frustrated, we get bored, and we all need motivation from time to time. However, if you need to be motivated on a constant basis, then there’s a problem. So today’s Monday motivation post is a tirade against Monday motivation posts; they are helpful and give us much needed pick-me-ups, but like drugs, they can keep us from seeing the truth.
