Typically, Nigerian parents think their children’s vacations must be spent outside the country, especially in these times where keeping up with the Joneses is a thing! Anyway, the fact is that Nigeria is naturally endowed with beautiful locations that can make fun holiday spots. We have nailed down a few for you, hoping you will take time out to explore them with your kids this holiday. Trust me, they are cheap, affordable and accessible.

IKOGOSI WARM SPRING.

This is located in Ekiti State, South-Western Nigeria. It is a beautiful site surrounded by naturally rich vegetation. Situated within a resort that, Ikogosi is the amazing meeting point where the warm and cold spring meets. Wow! I bet that kids would love to experience such an amazing work of nature they only read about in their Geography books. There is a swimming pool, recreational center and lots of fun-packed experiences that your kids will also love.

OBUDU MOUNTAIN RESORT.

Have you seen the movie titled “Sound of Music”? That part where Sister Maria sang “The hills are alive”? Do you remember the beautiful sight of the Mountain she stood on? Yes! You’ll find such beautifully rolling mountains located at the Obudu Cattle Ranch in Cross River State, Nigeria. There is a Waterfall, tree house and yes, the canopy walk where you get to share a lifetime experience with your wards! What child wouldn’t love to spend quality time with his parents in such beautiful scenery?

AGODI PARK AND GARDEN.

This is a tourist attraction in the City of Ibadan also known as Agodi Botanical Gardens. It is located at Secretariat road, Mokola Hill, Ibadan. It is an epitome of peace, water park swimming pool with inflated balloons, a Lake, Mini zoo and yes, children’s play area where you get to spend quality and priceless time with them and bond.

ERIN-IJEHSA WATERFALL.

Also known as Olumirin Waterfall, it is located at Oriade local government area, Osun State, Nigeria. It is renowned for its ambiance and beautiful scenery, nature and fresh air. Kids can go swimming, base jumping, rock climbing, and game watching. Trust me; everyone is welcome to splash around! Sounds like fun for any adventurous group.
