 Onion Juice

It is probably the most surprising and the cheapest method for gray hair. Scientific studies, however, proved that it really works. It happens because onions have everything that healthy and strong hair needs. They are rich in biotin and sulfur, which are crucial for beautiful hair.

All you need to do is to peel a few onion bulbs and extract the juice with the use of a blender. You can also grate onions and use them in a form of paste.

Whichever method you choose, massage the onion paste gently into your hair and scalp and leave it for about 45 minutes, but no longer than one hour. Wash it with your regular shampoo.

Potato Skins

You can also prepare a natural, hair-darkening dye with potato skins. The ingredient of potato skins that acts as a colorant is the starch, it will gradually make your hair darker.

All you need is a handful of potato skins, boil them for 25 minutes minimum in two cups of water. Now, remove the peels as you only need the liquid.

Wash your hair with your shampoo as usual and divide your hair into a few parts. Pour the liquid into the hair sections or apply it with the help of a brush. Wash it off with cool water. Repeat the process until you get the desired color of your hair.

Ginger

Ginger is a traditional home remedy for gray and damaged hair. If you want to reverse your grey hair to your natural hair color, give ginger a try.Grate a few pieces of ginger and make a thick paste using milk.Apply the paste to your gray hair and wash off after 10 minutes.

One of the most natural ways to dye your hair is with a coffee blend. The result is temporary, you might need to repeat the process once in a week but your hair color will be intensified, strengthened and nourished.

To begin this method, you will need to make a cup of black coffee, the best option will be espresso. Cool it down and pour it over your head while you’re taking a shower. Rub it into your head as thoroughly as you can, going from the roots to the tip of your hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Another remedy to combating grey hair is apple cider vinegar. It’s believed to not only reduce grey hair but also stimulate hair growth. Note that ACV is a weak acid. So, do not use it if you dye your hair as it could interfere with some chemical components in the hair color.

To use, mix apple cider vinegar (ACV) with water in a 1:1 ratio and rinse your hair with it.Then, wrap your hair in a towel and leave it on for half an hour for the mixture to work.Go on to shampoo your hair as normal.
