THE UNVEILING OF THE UNBOXED PHONE: SAMSUNG GALAXY S8
With our evolving lives, we seem to do more and want more from our phones. Samsung has realized this need, and with the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S8, they have broken the barriers of smartphones and they just might have started a new trend in future phones.
DJ Koh, President of Mobile Communications Business said during the unveiling, “We are proud to mark the beginning of a new era of smartphone design, the era without edges or limits”. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus are highly anticipated new age designs that give us the experience of a world without the confinement of the edges of our phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 which was unveiled on the 29th of March, 2017 via a live broadcast from New York has a wide screen that flows seamlessly into the back; it is curved on both sides and it gives you the feel that your screen is never ending.
The S8 comes with earbuds, 5 different security options (iris scanner, face recognition, fingerprint scanner, pattern and password), Artificial intelligence (Bixby) and for selfie lovers lf, great front and back cameras.
Although the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been designed with these great features, it still has a high performance and it doesn’t consume too much power. It is not only beautiful to look at but it is also comfortable to hold.
The unveiling which was held at Fourpoints in Victoria Island, was witnessed by friends of the Samsung brand in Nigeria including brand ambassadors; Banky W and Reminisce, comedians and bloggers as well as other media personalities.
“The S8 will officially be released in New York on the 21st of April 2017 and might be available in Nigeria as from May”, the Director, Samsung West Africa, Olumide Ojo, said.
