THE NOKIA 3310 IS BACK!!

 

Many Nigerians know and love the Nokia 3310, with its long battery life, its durability and the addictive game snake. The Nokia 3310, which was released in 2000, is one of the world’s bestselling mobile phones.

Well, there is good news: The Nokia 3310 is back!

The revamped Nokia 3310 was unveiled during HMD’s press conference at Mobile World Congress (MWC ) 2017 on Sunday, February 26. HMD is the Finnish company with exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand.

The relaunched Nokia 3301 phone costs $52 and it looks fresher and slicker than its predecessor, with its enlarged, 2.4-inch 320 x 240 colour screen and significantly slimmer frame particularly welcome changes.

There are more exciting specs of the new Nokia 3310. Given that battery life was one of its biggest selling points, HMD has made this a priority in the revamped version. The new handset has a removable 1200 mAh battery, boasting 22 hours of talk-time and a month long stand-by.

It also now boasts a 2-Megapixel camera, 16MB of internal memory – which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card – and 2G connectivity, to take the noughties experience online.

And yes – it comes with the iconic mobile game, Snake.

It’s not yet known exactly when HMD plans to starts selling the device, but it said that it will be available in the second quarter of 2017.
